Spent most of Friday preparing and then glueing up this frame. It is made from European oak and is jointed with the Festool Domino systems. It is a display cabinet in a Sussex Museum. I will be fitting LED lighting on it tomorrow and the adding the glass shelves once it arrives
Busy preparing a cabinet for delivery. This has been polished to a 35% sheen with a tint to make it look darker. 3 LED spot lights have been installed on the top panel which have a dimmable switch. There are 4 0mm thick toughened glass shelves behind two sliding doors. Lots of bits to get ready for delivery on Monday
Fitted the skirting detail to the base unit today and glued up the top section. This top section has a lot of grooves and rebates to accommodate joints and lighting systems.
Cabinet underway and ready for face frame and doors. Top section will be started later in the week.
This will be a lovely piece of free standing furniture once it’s finished with all sorts of details to be added.
Received all the components of some library shelving back today from the sprayer. I spent a few hours cutting the sugatsune Library shelving Tonk in order to make all the shelves adjustable.
