Re shaping Oak dining chairs

Today I have been re shaping some oak dining chairs. A customer contacted as they had just downsized from a large home into a flat in Hove, Sussex.

They wanted to keep the chairs but felt that they overpowered the room. After a discussion we decided that reducing the height of the backs which in turn would make the circle smaller would do the trick.

I got to work by cutting the back down with my festool plunge saw TS 55 R saw with the guide rail. From here I was able to domino the top rail. I used some Titebond glue and clamped it up.
