Brighton marathon

Went to the Brighton marathon today to cheer on my friend Jo and Paul I was hoping to get a picture of Paul as he is normally behind the lens. He is http://www.paulfletcherphotography.co.uk. Unfortunately I didn’t spot him.  I also bumped into a good friend who I went to Edinburgh college of art with.

I always enjoy the Brighton marathon it is well supported and not as crowded as the London. Navigating your way round and meeting up with friends works really well. Well done to the organisers and the army of volunteers.

sad news when I returned home I learnt that a runner had died. Very sad

Brighton furniture maker working with Artists

This was a commission by two Artists who’s work is conceptual and experimental. They wanted their postcards to be displayed in an orderly fashion and for it to reflect the minimal nature of their work. Between us we designed this plinth to stack the cards so that they are offset. When the exhibition opens the cards are revealed by removing the top section. The plinth is made from 6mm Birch Ply and jointed with 144 finger joints.

Furniture maker skills are transfer to many applications!
