Fitted Wardrobes

August 25, 2015February 4, 2016 ~ martyngthompson ~ Leave a comment

very busy this week and have just received the go ahead on some fitted wardrobes in West Sussex. They will be painted with Farrow and Ball paint. Just visited the customer to take final measurements and a site survey. Time to order some timber from Wenban Smith in Worthing so I can get making in my workshop

New planer thicknesser

July 13, 2015February 4, 2016 ~ martyngthompson ~ Leave a comment

Today I took delivery of my new planer thicknesser at my work shop. I bought it from JMJ Woodworking machinery who have been excellent to deal with.

Just waiting for the electrician to come and wire it up and I will be ready to plane up my first bit of solid wood on it.

if you are buying timber for your home projects or indeed employing a carpenter or cabinet maker. Do check where they source their wood from  http://www.fsc-uk.org

I trained at Edinburgh for my degree in furniture and cabinet making. This is a nice Q&A on the reasons I chose to go there and what I’m up to now with my woodwork skills Q&A
