Cutting list

First Cutting list of the year! Even though this looks like a messy list, this makes lots of sense to me. Never start cutting material until you know what you need to cut. Or indeed think about resolving an issue later it will come back to bite. This is for a bathroom vanity unit in Brighton, Sussex.cutting list

sketch up

After my initial drawings last week designing furniture using sketchup, I have to say I don’t think I will ever use a drawing board again!

I have to admit at first the programe was tricky to get to grips with, but now after about 20 hours I have produced four drawings for some fitted furniture.

The thing that really sells it to me is the speed of communication with the client and the ability to make changes and being able to import a flat screen TV to the propsed unit.

In a nutshell it is quick, versatile and looks really professional. A great tool for furniture makers.
