New Tools

My strategy this year is to update most of my tooling. I have opted for Festool They are certainly not the cheapest but I a firm beliver in, you get what you pay for. Having been so impressed with the Domino cutter my next purchase will be the Plungesaw. This tool is going to be really useful in the workshop and site for cutting mitresd edges and cutting in scribe panels. The beaty of the Festool system is that all the boxes link together to make transportation and storage very simple. Also the extraction systems link into the storage boxes. Festool pride themselves on their dust extraction capabilities, and if the plunge saw is as effective as the Domino interms of extraction it will make my day in the work shop far more enjoyable. Take a look at the links to see for yourself the festool range I highlt reccomend

Well I have finally done it and bought myself a Domino cutter from Festool. After hours of searching around Axminster tools centre offered the best value and an impressive array of extras.

today I have been making some simple pieces of furniture to test out the new kit. It is very simple to use and all the preset dials make life so easy.

below is the fruits of my labour today.
